Yes we buy gold, silver, platinum, diamond, gemstone, and crystal jewellery. It does not matter if your jewellery is broken or just small scrap pieces, also missing earrings from a set; we buy 9k, 10k, 14k, 18k, 21k, 22k, and 24k.
The amount that we pay depends on what gold and silver is trading at on the markets that day. Keep in mind that when you see what the price of gold is trading at that is for 24k pure gold so we have to take into account what karat gold your jewellery is. 10k gold regardless if it is white gold or yellow gold is 41.7% pure gold, 14k is 58.5% pure gold, 18k is 75% pure gold, and 24k is 100% pure gold. We also take into account the weight of your item and if it has stones then we have to measure the stones and check the quality. This is why it is best for you to bring your item in for an accurate rate of what we would offer you because over the phone we can only give an approximate rate of what you might get per gram depending on the karat of gold you are selling. If it is silver that you are selling the process is the same, it depends on the weight and amount of silver content.
Yes we do buy coins, both silver, gold, and paper money. Most Canadian coins 1967 and before have silver content; therefore, we would buy them for their silver content and price it as per the daily market value. The same goes for gold coins, their value changes on a daily basis depending on what the market is trading at so we base our price to buy the coin on that rate. Keep in mind that there are some exceptions for collector coins which our coin appraiser would know to look for key dates, collections and markings. Other Canadian, USA, foreign coins and paper currency are priced depending on how many of the particular item that you are trying to sell was made at its mint. For an accurate price feel free to come in and talk to our coin and estate appraiser. There is no need to make an appointment for our free verbal coin appraisals. Yes we buy high end, antique, and gold watches. In order to see if our watch maker is interested in buying your watch please contact us with your inquiry. We would be happy to let you know if we are interested in purchasing your watch. You can also come to our store and show us your item; our watchmaker will look at it on the spot and give you the free verbal assessment of your item.
Yes we have interest free layaway. You can choose an item that you would like to purchase and put down a 20% deposit. We will hold the item in our safe for you until you have paid it in full. On most layaways we give 3months to 1 year to pay off your item; as long as you come in monthly to make payments we will happily hold the item for you.
We guarantee that our products are what they say they are. For example; if a ring is marked 14k gold, .50 ct diamond, we guarantee that the ring is what it says it is. We cannot predict what you will do with the jewellery when you leave our store. Everyone wears their jewellery differently therefore, we cannot provide you with a warrantee on the jewellery; all of our high end items come with a GIA certified appraisal paper for your option of insuring the item on your own terms. Some of our watches come with a warrantee from the original company that we order them from. This depends on the style of watch it is that you are purchasing. We do most of our jewellery an watch repairs in house. There are a few exceptions such as engraving, re stringing pearls and some custom casting jobs that we have to send out to another facility. All our watch repairs, jewellery sizing, and most jewellery repair such as and not limited to soldering, re-doing claws, cleaning and polishing, etc. is all done in house.

It is true some places do stretch rings out but here at G&G Jewellery in most instances we do not stretch a ring. Rings are cut and gold is added to size larger or cut and gold removed to make it smaller. In some instances a ring will have a very detailed pattern around the entire band so in order to prevent ruining the design our jeweler will heat the ring and stretch it if it only needs to be increased by a maximum of 1 size or decreased by 1 size otherwise the ring will have to be cut and gold added.
You can come into our store and we will accurately measure your finger and check to see what karate gold your ring is to distinguish the price it will be to size your ring. Many times we can size a ring on the spot if you come during the week from Monday to Friday 10:00am to 4:00pm. If you cannot come in during the week you have the option of dropping your ring off Saturday to get it sized by noon on Monday.

It is simple, we have been in business since 1973 and our customer base would not be continuously growing over the years if we were not doing something right! Another reason is that most of our staff members have been with us for 10 years or more which speaks for itself.
Generally our gold smith is here Monday to Friday so depending on the nature of your repair in many cases we can have your jewllery repaired while you wait. Here is a list of common repairs that in most cases can be done while you wait:
- Soldering a chain
- Ring sizing, up or down in size
- Cleaning and polishing
- Shortening a chain or bracelet
- Adding a new clasp to a chain or bracelet
- Changing or replacing small stones in a ring (if we have the stone in stock)
- Tightening stones in rings or pendants

- Re tipping or repairing the claws that hold in your stone
- Replacing any missing stones in most types of jewellery
- Engraving
- Rhodium plating
- Re setting stones

Custom made jewllery can be very time sensitive especially if it is being made for a special event like a wedding where the date is set. We always like to give 4-6 weeks to get something made without any stress. In most cases it takes 2 weeks but we like to give time incase there are any adjustments that need to be done on your jewellery to ensure that you are getting exactly what you expected in your custom jewellery.
We do not give full money back refunds on jewellery. If you are unhappy with the jewellery item that you have bought then we will be happy to exchange it for a store credit or exchange within 3 days of the purchase date. If it is a coin purchase that you would like to return we can do so for a full money back refund within 3 days of your purchase. Due to the nature of our business we cannot exceed this policy regardless if you have purchased the item in our store or we have shipped it to you from an online purchase. In order to be eligible for a refund or jewellery exchange:
- We do not return rings that have been sized already.
- The coins must be in their original package and the coins themselves must not be tampered with.
- The item will have to be returned to us at the customers expense and we will not refund the shipping and handling or duty costs (see questions 14 and 15)
- If you have purchased this item over the phone or online please notify us within 24 hours of receiving the purchase to let us know that you will be returning the item.
- If the item you have purchased is a gift and there might be a chance that you will have to exchange or return the item, please notify us at point of sale so that we can make a note on your receipt.
- The item must be returned unworn
Once we receive the item and all of the above conditions have been met, we will issue the return/ exchange in the currency that it was purchased. If you are returning an item that you had on lay away then the deposited money is non-refundable. We will be happy to give you a store credit for the money that was deposited.
We take payments from VISA, Mastercard, American Express, debit and cash . We also will take Money orders or bank drafts; we do not accept payments made by cheque or credit cards from outside of North America. , CDN, .

Canada & USA Shipping
All purchases that are made over the phone or online are subject to shipping charges according to UPS, Federal Express or Canada Post rates. The rates also depend on how fast you would like to receive your package. If you are ordering from outside of Canada you may be subject to brokerage and duty fees. You will be notified of all shipping charges before we ship them out; items subject to duty will be charged when you receive your item.
- We will ship your purchase to your PayPal address.
- Due to the nature of our products and the higher value we always ship UPS, FED EX or Canada Post expedited with tracking unless otherwise stated in the items description or requested by the customer.
- If you choose to have your item shipped without a tracking number for a cheaper rate you are then taking all of the responsibility of the item into your own hands once the item is shipped and leaves our store.
- Shipping from Canada to USA with tracking will take 4-10 business days
- Some orders may take longer due to possible delays at customs. If you need your item by a certain date please let me know and we can calculate a quicker shipping option for you.
- You are responsible for any taxes or duties incurred upon delivery outside of Canada.
International Shipping
G&G Jewellery and Coins Ships worldwide. Our standard shipping price for worldwide outside of CAN and USA is $40. Please message us for shipping options. Prices might be lower than $40 depending on time frame and country that you live in.
If you are interested in an item and you live outside of North America please contact us the for exact shipping prices. Items outside of North America if shipped at this rate of $40 VIA surface can take up to 3 months to ship at this price ($40) depending on where you live (for example when shipping to China). If you need this item quicker please let us know. We can calculate the cost depending on where you live and how quickly you would like to receive the item and have them shipped VIA air.
International shipments can take more time due to international customs inspections.
